Finding Forever Homes

All Creatures Great and Small (ACGAS) has a mission to heal and rehome injured, abused, and unwanted animals. They look after and provide medical care for all the creatures they are able to take in. From guinea pigs to horses and everything in between, ACGAS is here to help them in whatever ways they can.

About the Sanctuary

ACGAS are based in South East Wales, and have been caring for animals for more than 25 years. In 2017, over 300 were taken in, and most have since been placed in loving homes.

As well as rehoming, the ACGAS 9-acre site is a forever home for over a hundred animals. Residents include horses, goats, pigs, sheep, and many more. Most of them came to the Sanctuary due to neglect or being unwanted, but now finally have a place to call their own.

Sharing a wealth of knowledge between them, the ACGAS staff also provide an advisory service to the public on animal welfare and behaviour. This is especially important for young people, and ACGAS keep working to build links with local schools to promote the care of, and respect for, animals.

ACGAS will only ever put an animal down to prevent its suffering. And, while they don’t have the facilities to deal with exotic creatures, they make every effort to advise and direct people to other, trusted groups who can care for them.

A Helping Hand

Cats, dogs, and all the small creatures you can think of – ACGAS have rehomed hundreds of animals. On top of this, they always strive to make sure that new owners are fully briefed on the welfare of the newest addition to their family.

The Sanctuary does not receive any funding from the Council or from the Government. They must rely on the kindness and goodwill of the public in order to keep running. The annual costs of the Sanctuary amount to £300,000. This means that public donations are essential so the Sanctuary can stay open and care for all of their animals.

If you would like to support the amazing work that ACGAS does, please donate. ACGAS rely on donations to fund the treatment and recovery of the injured, abused and unwanted animals that they look after. As well as donations of money, they also welcome towels, blankets, pet food and cleaning materials. Thank you.
